Another Bit of Information on Facebook’s new Community Pages
As outlined in this post on Apr. 22, Facebook has launched a new feature called “Community Pages.”
There are a few things you should know about community pages:
- When I logged in today, a notification popped up telling me that my employer, etc. would not be linked to a Facebook community page. If I did not want it to be linked to a community page, then the employer line would be blank. At this point there appears to be no middle ground: either your employer is linked to the community page, or it’s blank.
Facebook’s New Features and Your Privacy
Social networking giant Facebook has released yet another series of new features.
Some of the changes are relatively minor — for example, rather than becoming a “fan” of a business’ page, users now simply click a button indicating that they “like” the page. The outcome is basically the same: people who “like” a page are connected to the page in the same way as those who previously became a “fan.” Not a big deal.
