Frank L. Williams, President
Frank Williams is a native of the Northwest community, located just west of Leland in northern Brunswick County, N.C. After graduating from North Brunswick High School, he earned a degree from North Carolina State University’s Department of Communication in 1993.
Frank formed Pioneer Strategies in August 2001. Since that time, the firm has served more than 80 clients throughout North Carolina. Pioneer Strategies’ work has been recognized by both the MarCom Creative Awards and the Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Excellence in Communication. In addition, Frank received the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Under 40″ Leadership Award and was inducted into the “40 Under 40″ Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2006. He also received the N.C. State University Communication Alumni Circle’s Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award in 2006.
Frank has been a featured speaker for a variety of organizations. He has addressed gatherings of the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce, the Brunswick Community College Small Business Center, the Leland Business Association, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, the Wake Forest Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Raleigh Merchants Association, the N.C. State University chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), the John William Pope Civitas Institute’s Academy of Practical Politics and numerous other civic and political organizations.
Frank is actively involved in civic and business affairs and local and state politics. He serves on the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors and is a charter member and president-elect of the Leland Area Rotary Club. He was recently named to the board of directors of Communities in Schools of Brunswick County. Frank previously two terms as president of the Raleigh Public Relations Society. He served as 2005 public relations Chair of Strike for Survival, a bowling competition to benefit the American Cancer Society, and was a leading fundraiser for the event. Frank is chairman of the N.C. 7th Congressional District Republican Party and serves on the Brunswick County Republican Party executive committee and the N.C. Republican Party’s central and executive committees. He was elected as an alternate delegate to the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia.
Frank is a member of Northside Baptist Church in Wilmington.
Dana L. Reason, Account Coordinator
Dana is a Raleigh native and a graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Political Science/Public Administration. She worked as an intern with Elizabeth Dole’s campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2002. In 2003, Dana achieved her goal of becoming Miss North Carolina and competed in the Miss America Pageant, where she received an award for her work with pediatric cancer patients. After her year of service, Dana worked as a field representative for 19 North Carolina counties during Richard Burr’s successful campaign for the U.S. Senate in 2004. Following Senator Burr’s election Dana worked at Bockorny Petrizzo, a bipartisan governmental relations firm in Washington, D.C. Upon her return to North Carolina, Dana worked at Fetzer Stephens as the director of client services, where she played an integral role in multiple campaigns. Most recently Dana worked as a project manager at Universal Meeting Management, having total oversight of multiple customer meetings, conferences and conventions. Dana lives in Wilmington with her husband Tim and their puppy Marley.
Justin L. Johns, Creative Director
Justin L. Johns has worked professionally as a commercial artist specializing in graphic design since 1998, during which time he has completed both long-term and short-term projects in North Carolina’s Raleigh-Durham area. During his career, Justin has worked as an art director and project manager. His areas of expertise include branding and corporate identity development, print collateral development, marketing and web design. His extensive experience includes multi-million dollar design proposals, developing brochures, advertisements, product packaging, catalogs, logos, billboards, web sites, and more complex electronic projects like programming, e-commerce and database development for the web. Justin utilizes strong visual communication to bring his clients’ messages to their audiences.
Jason F. Estes, Marketing Strategist
Jason Estes brings ten years of business development and marketing experience in the high-tech industry to Pioneer Strategies. At Nortel, he led the overall North America marketing efforts for the Nortel and Microsoft Alliance. Jason also led vertical marketing campaigns targeted at healthcare, education and state & local government – vertical segments which generate more than $500 million in combined revenues. Previously, Jason developed and managed Nortel’s IT Strategy for its 1,200 person IT organization. In this role, he spearheaded the company’s adoption of ITIL best practices for IT Service Management. Jason also served as a business development manager, a position in which he was responsible for forming strategic alliances and partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. Jason has been involved in forming over 15 such partnerships with notable companies such as IBM, Accenture, Dell, CSC, Microsoft, BearingPoint and Intel. Jason serves as a board member for Asterix Data, a Raleigh-based IT support company, WESCO, a NASA contractor responsible for NASA training, and Pioneer Strategies. He is also a board member of the Research Triangle Park (RTP) Chapter of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
