Small Business Survey Results: Views of the Economy

This is the second installment in a series of posts focusing on the results of that survey.  Please note that this is not a scientific poll.  Please also note that response totals may not be recorded at precisely 100.0% due to rounding.

When asked their view of the current state of the economy, respondents answered as follows:

  • Optimistic:  12.3%
  • Pessimistic:  12.3%
  • We are in a recession, but are on the way to recovery:  22.8%
  • We are in a recession and will be there for some time:  45.6%
  • We are in a depression:  5.3%
  • Unsure:  1.8%
