Pioneer Strategies’ president presents workshops, moderates media panel at Charter School conference

CONCORD, N.C. – Pioneer Strategies’ president, Frank Williams, led two breakout sessions and organized and moderated a media panel at the N.C. Alliance for Public Charter Schools’ third annual conference, which was held July 22-24 at the Concord Convention Center.

Williams’ two breakout sessions, which were designed to provide attendees with practical tips they can put to work to improve their schools, were:

  • Leveraging the Internet to Promote Your Charter School; and
  • Media Relations 101.

In addition to the breakout sessions, Williams organized and moderated a media panel which allowed attendees to obtain valuable media relations insight directly from professional journalists and talk show hosts.  The panelists were Shawn Flynn, managing editor of News 14 Carolina, Jessica Groover, education reporter with the Independent Tribune (Cabarrus County’s local newspaper), and radio talk show personalities Matt Mittan and Agnes Cheek of Take a Stand.
