Small Business Survey Results: Challenges to Marketing & Promoting Businesses

This is the fifth installment in a series of posts focusing on the results of our recent small business survey. Please note that this is not a scientific poll. Please also note that response totals may not be recorded at precisely 100.0% due to rounding.

When asked which of the following MOST impedes their ability to promote their business, respondents answered as follows:

  • Lack of time:  30.8%
  • Lack of financial resources:  40.4%
  • Lack of human resources — no  one dedicated to marketing:  17.3%
  • Lack of marketing/public relations knowledge & expertise:  3.8%
  • Lack of focus:  7.7%
